Starting Your Self Interview 

To begin, state your name and your twitter id. You can state your state and/or country.

You can rant, rave, be comedic, be serious, hold up pictures, make an edited video, anything! It’s wide open. Be creative and have fun. All I ask is that it is well lit, in focus and that you are wearing clothes.

Current Space & Earth Work

• When you think of NASA, do you immediately think of space or do you also think of earth sciences?
• How do you feel about the importance of working in space?
• Do you have an opinion about whether we should continue to send humans into space or do you think robotic exploration is better?
• How do you feel about NASA’s budget?
• How do you feel about how NASA delegates its budget among its programs?
• Do you think that NASA should delegate more money for earth sciences or for space exploration? Why?
• Do you feel we should continue exploring Mars?
• How do you feel about continuing to explore the Moon?
• Do you feel we should continue to use orbiting space satellites to monitor climate change and weather on Earth?
• How do you feel about continuing to monitor near-Earth asteroids and comets?
• Do you think we should continue searching for extra-terrestrial life?

How Space and Space related Earth science News is disseminated

• Do you feel that space related news is covered well by your city/state/country media?
• How often do you see space news in the headlines?
• What do people you know think about Nasa and/or working in space?
• Are your children exposed to Nasa space and earth science studies in school?

National and International Relations

• Do you feel that your country should be the leader in space exploration? Why
• Does your country have strong national pride over it’s space program? Why?
• Do you believe that working together with people from other countries opens doors to having more peaceful relationships with them? Why?
• Do you feel that nations should participate in more international cooperative space missions? Why?

Future - Once the technology is available:

• How do you feel about building settlements on the moon?
• How do you feel about mining asteroids for minerals?
• How do you feel about launching private solar sail missions?
• How do you feel about space activities being commercialized?
• How do you feel about privatizing launch vehicles?
